NorthEastern States Men's Retreat

June 15th & 16th 2018?

 Dear Brethren,

This letter comes to you from the Northeastern States Men's Retreat Committee. For 31 years, many of us have referred to it as the "Kent Men's Retreat", but sadly, we regret to inform you that our time hosting this annual event at the Kent School has come to an end.

A few weeks back, our chairman, Patrick Keller, was contacted by the school and told that they had been presented with an opportunity to host an international master chef summer program. This would provide a summer long program that would bring 300-400 students to participate over the course of
 the entire summer.

Regrettably, Todd Marble, our contact at Kent School, informed us that we will need to find another location for 2018 and forward. Todd also has informed other schools in the area of our need and provided a nice recommendation on our behalf. To date none of these sites has been able to meet our needs.

So we are asking all of you for some help.  First and foremost, we want your prayers. We are confident that the Lord will bless us with an alternative location for this wonderful retreat through our combined efforts and prayers.

Secondly, we need all of you to keep your eyes and ears open to possible places we could use. We feel that the more of us who are seeking leads; the more likely we can find something quickly.

With this in mind, here is a list of criteria we are using to find a suitable place to hold our annual Men's Retreat:

      1.  We prefer the second weekend of June (8-9, 2018) but dates from late May through June are OK.
      2.  We are open to looking at schools, camps, or retreat centers that can sleep sleep 200+ men for a \
            Friday evening and Saturday program.
      3.  The location must have an auditorium, gym, or conference hall able to seat 200 persons.
      4.  We need a facility that could provide meals for us or have a kitchen area where we could either
cook or hold food to be catered.
      5.  A place that has recreational activities for those who attend is preferable (ex. - basketball court,
            athletic field, etc).
      6.   And finally, to keep this event affordable we need a facility that would cost in the range of
$100-125 max per person. (We were at $90 last year with an incredible deal for lodging,
            meals, speaker fee, etc.)

We are contacting several venues that we discussed at our last committee meeting on Saturday. We ask that you please contact Patrick Keller with any leads you may know of. He can be reached at Cell: 203-218-9517 VM/TXT or email him at registration@cocmensretreat.com.

Brethren, thank you in advance for your prayers and suggestions to help us find a new home for our retreat. We look forward to continuing this event where men may come together next June for the wonderful fellowship, renewal, and praise to the glory of God!

Love in Christ,
The Northeastern States Men's Retreat Committee
